Museo dei Brettii – Sala V – Showcase 9

This showcase contains material from the excavation of a Bruttian farm in Martino di Acquappesa (late IV – early III century BC). Fragments of vases with red figures and black paint, mostly paterae and bowls, used for eating and drinking, fragments of kitchenware used to prepare and cook food (basins, lopades, caccabai, jars) and fragments of large vessels (pithoi), used to preserve foods. The loom weights displayed in the showcase recall the weaving activities performed by women in their dwellings.
