Museo dei Brettii – Sala I – Showcase 2

Several fragments of a red-figure amphora Cylindrical neck with thin black-painted vertical lines. On the wall: palmette decoration and right-handed motifs on the lower part. The vase was used to contain liquids, especially wine for the ritual of the symposium: on the body we have a scene with a draped male character, while the other fragment shows a female character close to a tree. Attributed to an artist belonging to the circle of the Apulianizing Painter, active around 330-320 BC.
