Museo dei Brettii – Sala II – Showcase 3 – Upper shelf

Red-figure fish plate with vertical leaning lip and bowl with convex profile, with a central recess for the collection of the sauce (ø 3 cm), trumpet-shaped foot with a slightly convex bottom. In the inner bowl: sequence of three fishes, one of which is a torpedo; omphalos in the centre surrounded by right-handed wave motif; left-handed ewave motif on the lip. Attributable to the Painter of Stromboli-Amantea, a painter who lived in the end of the IV century BC, who could mark the shifting of the production from Sicily to Campania.
